2018 Hilton Head Area Real Estate: Q1 Numbers from MLS

We wanted to let you know the real estate market for the first quarter of this year, both on and off the island, shows great results when compared to this time last year. And if you'll remember, last year was a excellent year for us. Please see the links below for all the data that's provided by the Multiple Listing Service of Hilton Head Island and the Hilton Head Area Association of REALTORS®.

For the island as a whole, home sales were up 20.7 percent and the median price increased 4.6 percent to $530,000. All this activity has encouraged more homes to come to the market increasing our inventory by 18.8 percent. Villa sales were up 16.0 percentand the median price rose by 17.9 percent to $237,500. Located at the Ticket Office Trailer in the parking lot of Harbour Town Golf Links. Will Call is designed for last-minute ticket sales, ticket pick-up and redistribution of tournament badges.

• Picture ID is required to pick-up your tickets.
• Tickets is not required to ride the tournament buses.

I LOVE a parade!

Did you know that Savannah has the second largest Irish population in the United States? Their St. Patrick's Day parade is over 194 years old and is one of the largest and most recognized parades in the world, winding through the streets of Historic Savannah every March 17th. When I was a high schooler, we did not have a parade on Hilton Head (more on that later), so we used to skip school and go to Savannah to their parade (mind you, I only did that one year because I did not want to get in trouble so I waited until my senior year to go).

New Management at Lawton Stables in Sea Pines

Lawton Stables, The Sea Pines Resort's popular equestrian center, has a new management team to operate its horseback riding tours, pony rides, boarding facilities and small animal farm. Many of these activities are so loved by our residents and guests as well as visitors to Sea Pines and Hilton Head Island.

Iconic Harbourtown Lighthouse has gone Plaid for the RBC Heritage

The Lighthouses’ New Look One of America's’ iconic lighthouses received a makeover earlier this month, and it’s looking sharper than ever! The Harbour Town Lighthouse has become a well-known structure thanks to the RBC Heritage annual golf tournament. You can find this destination on the beautiful Hilton Head Island of South Carolina. To celebrate their 50th anniversary of the golf tournament, the staff gave the lighthouse a whole new look: Plaid! They covered the famous candy-cane striped building in a new layer of plaid to match the patterns of the golfers. They created this pattern using removable vinyl that was about half a mile long.
